What is a Penny Loafer?

— In the 1950’s American Prep students used to carry pennies in the cut out section of their loafers to make a fashion statement. The name stuck and the name Penny Loafer remains in use today.

What is A Sebago Dockside?

— A sebago Dockside is a casual deck shoe. Great for leisurewear.

What is a moccasin?

— A soft leather slipper or shoe, with a simple stiched ’bag like’ construction. In some moccasin construction no glue is needed as the shoe is entirely stitched together. You can recognise a moccasin shoe by the stitched lip around the foot. Moccasin shoes are often deep and are renowned for being comfortable.

What is a welt construction?

— A welt is a piece of leather or rubber that is stitched onto the upper of the shoe to attach the sole of the shoe. Sebago use this welt construction to produce lots of their designs.

Are Sebago moccasins hand sewn?

— Sebago pride themselves on preserving hand sewn production techniques to produce their moccassin shoes. The brand still uses talented cobblers to maintain the level of craftmanship that the brand has become associated.
